About the Process
Our journey of hat making begins with a deep dive into the past. We extensively research historical sources, seeking inspiration of shape and style founded in over a decade of millinery experience.
The heart of the process lies in the transformation. Each hat is meticulously steamed and sculpted over a wooden mold, its form emerging like a promise fulfilled. Once dry and sized, it takes shape further. Needle and thread dance together, shaping the brim and ribbon to define and support the hat.

About the Milliner
With a Fine Arts degree in Theater, Jennifer's passion for costume design naturally led to an obsession with headwear. After a less-than-stellar attempt at making her own hat, she dove headfirst into the world of hat making.
Through intensive workshops, coaching and self-taught exploration, she mastered the art of blocking, shaping, and finishing felt and straw hats. Her small Etsy shop quickly grew, leading to a vibrant presence at Renaissance faires where she delights in creating unique and historically inspired headpieces.
Jennifer's expertise extends beyond Renaissance styles. She's crafted hats for everyone from actors and stage productions to brides and even video game characters. Her skills include:
Straw & felt hat blocking
Historic hat research
Thermoplastic techniques
Silk and leather flower & feather embellishments
Whether you're a Renaissance enthusiast, a bride-to-be, or a cosplayer, Jennifer can create a one-of-a-kind hat that reflects your unique style and personality.
